Found Leather Goods is a Pacific Northwest leather goods company handcrafting unique leather bags and accessories using thoughtfully procured, high-quality leather and durable hardware. Each piece is designed, cut, and sewn in our 100+ year old studio in the Fairhaven district of Bellingham Washington.
Here at Found we believe that partaking in the creative process can transform the self and our community. We believe that when we make leather goods stitched with intention and care, it is not only built into our bags, but comes spilling out into our streets and neighborhoods.
We believe that Makers and Artists create more than just goods—We can create good with the work of our hands.
The human spirit longs to be inspired by beauty. Our brains are thirsty for creativity. And if our community (global and local) thrives on supporting small-batch makers, then in that act of commerce and connectedness, our hope is that you, too, will be able to lean more fully into your own pursuit of beauty and imagination.
Come be Found with us.
Nicki Lang, the founder and chief maker of found leather goods, retired from her first two careers as plant ecologist and middle-school teacher, to spend spare hours creating in her Bellingham, WA studio. All other hours are spent chasing her 2 small boys, Jude and Leo, furry dogs, Zion and Lupine, and husband, Kevin.
Emily Bajema, production assistant, is a third generation Bellingham native with not only a gift for making, but an actual degree in making. Emily graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a BA in Apparel Design. When Emily isn't at the ::found:: studio helping bring Nicki's creations to life, she is busy creating her own beautiful clothing designs.
